Arbor Day Tree Planting

2022 Arbor Day Celebration and Tree Planting

2022 marked the 36th consecutive year that the City of Arvada and Peck Elementary students planted trees together in celebration of Arbor Day. The Forestry team and Peck Elementary 5th graders gathered on May 10 at Skyline Park in Arvada to plant a variety of trees throughout the park. In attendance were Council Members John Marriot and Lisa Smith, Director of Vibrant Communities and Neighborhoods Enessa Janes, and Parks Manager Steve Gustafson.

During the 36 years, more than 1,800 Peck students have planted nearly 500 trees with Arvada park employees in parks across the community.
