Overview
A new sewer line is being installed at W 81st Drive and Kipling to serve Arvada water customers in the entire northern part of the City. The current line is reaching capacity limits and needs to be replaced to expand capacity. This reinvestment will upgrade the sewer and provide resiliency for the next 50 to 60 years, significantly reducing the risk of sewage backup.
Construction will take between 6 to 9 months, beginning at Kipling moving west along W. 81st Drive through Lakecrest Park directly under the southernmost sidewalk through the park. This work is separate from the work to complete the playground. Please reference the image below for an overview of the project area and new sewer line location.
