COVID-19 Update

Due to rising numbers of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations, both the Jefferson County Board of Health and Tri-County Board of Health (for Adams County) voted to issue public health orders that require all individuals (age 3 and older in Jefferson County; age 2 and older in Adams County) to wear a mask or cloth face covering when in indoor public spaces, regardless of vaccination status. Both orders go into effect Wednesday, Nov. 24 at 12:01 a.m.

For full details on these public health orders, please visit the Jefferson County Public Health and Tri-County Health Department websites.

Jefferson County is experiencing substantial transmission of COVID-19 again, due to the highly contagious Delta variant of the virus. We anticipate additional guidance in the coming weeks and months as kids return to school, we spend more time indoors during colder weather, and our understanding of the pandemic’s path evolves.

In anticipation of future guidance, the City is exploring a variety of options to help stop the spread of the virus and preserve the progress we have made recovering from previous phases of the pandemic. Options include ways to help increase vaccination rates as well as mask wearing and physical distancing protocols.

Vaccine Information

The City of Arvada is not a distributor of the vaccine; however, we are supporting residents by guiding them to the authoritative sources for vaccine distribution.

  • Colorado Department of Public Health (CDPHE)

    • CDPHE is the central resource for information about the COVID-19 vaccine from a statewide perspective. Their website is updated regularly with information from CDPHE and the Governor’s Office. Visit  Vaccine for Coloradans or call 1-877-268-2926 for vaccine-related questions.
